"the mirror&me..."

look into the mirror each morning...

wipe away any mist that might cloud your view...

stand close so you can see the outline of the face, the strength in its profile, the fragileness of its skin...

let the depth of the mirror's reflective properties take you inside that person's soul...

sink into those eyes and search deeply for the reason they see...

look at the light that floods out and analyze the quality of goodness and truth...

let the hint of pain, the sense of old weariness, the beauty of wisdom touch you...

let the glimmer of love and joy and compassion fill you...

as you look, be willing to accept that person, believe in that person, make changes in that person...

then be willing to be that person...

walk away, do your job, live your life...

let the day and its triumphs and hardships slip into the glass...

search for yourself in the face you see and know that you made a difference for having lived.
